In an area of south-west France, tucked away on the banks of the beautiful river Lot on the outskirts of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, is Le Moulin de Madame. This 18th Century Mill is being comprehensively restored to provide a stunning panoramic restaurant with a separate bar and lounge all with the added attraction of stunning views of the River Lot. In addition in the gated and secure grounds a 4 star hotel is being commissioned in the small number purpose built townhouses that have been constructed along the river and adjacent and to the Le Moulin. The entire complex is due to be completed by the Summer 2012.

The C18th Moulin has been rebuilt and sympathetically refurbished to the highest standard using as local artisans who are skilled in such specialised restoration. In addition and wherever possible given strict planning laws we have reused the old fittings and preserved the unique building as much as possible including the milling wheels and machinery in the lower part of the Moulin which are fairly spectacular. Its position in the river makes the views unusual as you are effectively situated in the river.

The new restaurant will be serving local produce in a stunning and unique surroundings and the lounge bar will add to the overall attraction of the Le Moulin de Madame. The 4 Hotel will be offering a varied mixture of accommodation with the added benefit of a private quality Spa set within the complex. In addition those wishing to visit us via the river using their own boat are more than welcome as we have our own berths for a number of boats in the Mill Pool.

The local area is fortunately not overpopulated in the summer by tourists despite its attractions locally and we so feel the Moulin de Madame with its tranquil private riverside setting and host of amenities on sight will appeal to those who are looking for a slightly quietly place to have a break . In addition due to its location , being just off the French motorway system ,we also feel it is perfect for those who need to take a brief rest from the driving between the areas close by which have stunning attractions.
